Fun-O-Rama Lived Up to Its Name

Several hundred residents came to the first-ever Fun-O-Rama event at Ocotillo Park on Saturday, October 2nd from 9 am to 1 pm.  Families enjoyed free breakfast and snacks, art projects for kids thanks to S.C.R.A.P. Gallery, Lawn Games sponsored by Desert Recreation District, and a fierce Tug-of-War competition between the Cathedral City Fire and Police Departments, which ended in a tie.

Organized by Councilmember Nancy Ross, the Cathedral City Parks and Community Events Commission, Public Arts Commissioners, City Volunteer Ambassador Sue Townsley as well as many other volunteers; the event lived up to its name with hours of smiles from kids wining prizes, creating beautiful art pieces, and simply being outside socializing with friends and family members.

Here’s a video recap of the day and we will let you know on this channel when Fun-O-Rama comes to a park nearest you.
