Journey With CCTV Host Conrad Angel Corral to Kimkey Shrimp Seafood Boil in Cathedral City

Check out the latest episode of CCTV’s regular segment promoting and highlighting new businesses opening throughout Cathedral City!

Host Conrad Angel Corral recently visited Kimkey Shrimp Seafood Boil, located at 34272 Date Palm Drive, Cathedral City, CA 92234. This is the second location for the beloved Coachella Valley seafood spot, which first opened in Indio and has now brought its bold, build-your-own boils to Cathedral City.

The City of Cathedral City and Cathedral City IGNITE joined the Kimkey Shrimp family to celebrate the new location with a ribbon cutting on Thursday, May 21, 2026, welcoming the Coachella Valley’s newest seafood destination to the neighborhood.

Kimkey Shrimp’s story began in 2020, during one of the most uncertain times in the world, inside a small garage. Founders Judith and Jesus Reyes made the courageous decision to leave the security of their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic to pursue a dream that had been growing in their hearts. With no investors, no restaurant experience, and no guarantees — only determination, a passion for great seafood, and a desire to build a better future for their family — they turned that garage into their first kitchen and the birthplace of Kimkey Shrimp Seafood Boil. Built on faith, hard work, and family, the business grew, one loyal customer at a time, into one of the Coachella Valley’s most recognized seafood boil destinations — locally loved since 2020. As the Kimkey family likes to say, every guest who walks through the door becomes part of the family.

Here’s how it works: you build your own seafood boil by choosing your seafood, picking your seasoning, adjusting your spice level, and adding your favorite extras — for a meal that’s uniquely yours. Choose from shrimp, crab legs, crawfish, mussels, clams, scallops, and octopus, plus sides like corn and potatoes, all tossed in Kimkey’s signature house seasonings and bold, Cajun-inspired flavor. Every boil is prepared fresh to order and served hot.

There’s more than just the boil, too. The menu also features flavorful appetizers, refreshing ceviches, crispy favorites, tacos, specialty drinks, micheladas, and desserts — something to satisfy every appetite, whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or gathering the whole family for a feast.

Roll up your sleeves, gather your people, and get crackin’ — it’s a hands-on, flavor-packed experience that’s become a Coachella Valley favorite.
