You are invited to attend any or all of three upcoming walking tours sponsored by the City. These design and development tours are part of the initial outreach phase of Development Code Update. The City kicked-off the Development Code Update in January with City staff and the Consultant Team and we want to hear from you!
- Walking Tour #1: Saturday March 15, Civic Center Plaza and Cathedral Cove Development | Meet-up Location: Cathedral City Senior Center, 37171 W. Buddy Rogers Blvd. | Time: 9 a.m.
- Walking Tour #2: Saturday March 15, Landau/Veterans Village/Salvation Army Neighborhood | Meet-up Location: Salvation Army, 30400 Landau Blvd.| Time: 11 a.m.
- Walking Tour #3: Sunday March 16, Date Palm at Ramon – Commercial | Meet-up Location: Starbucks, 69040 Ramon Rd | Time: 10 a.m.
The intent of the walking tours is to gather comments and ideas from interested community members their impression of what makes good project design from site planning to building design. The tours will focus on three identified developments/neighborhoods in the City and will be led by a team of City staff and the Consultant team. Each walking tour will last about one hour. The feedback collected as part of the tours will help shape modifications to the City’s Design Guidelines and the creation of Citywide Objective Design Standards.
A vehicle (golf car or other vehicle) will be available to accommodate those with mobility needs.
Spanish interpretation will be provided as part of the tours.

Recorrido a pie por el diseño y desarrollo de Cathedral City
Está invitado a asistir a tres recorridos a pie de diseño y desarrollo patrocinados por la Ciudad como parte de la Actualización del código de desarrollo. La Ciudad inició la actualización del Código de desarrollo en enero con el personal de la Ciudad y el equipo de consultores, ¡y queremos saber de usted!

La intención de los recorridos a pie es recopilar comentarios e ideas de los miembros de la comunidad interesados sobre su impresión de lo que hace un buen diseño de proyecto, desde la planificación del sitio hasta el estilo de construcción. Los recorridos se centrarán en tres desarrollos y/o vecindarios identificados en la ciudad y serán dirigidos por un equipo de personal de la Ciudad y el equipo de consultores. Cada recorrido a pie no durará más de una hora. Los comentarios recopilados como parte de los recorridos ayudarán a dar forma a las modificaciones a los Estándares de diseño de la Ciudad y la creación de Estándares de diseño objetivo para toda la Ciudad.
Se proporcionará interpretación al español como parte de los recorridos.
