Cinema Diverse – LGBTQ Film Festival – Starts This Weekend

The 10th Annual Cinema Diverse, the Palm Springs LGBTQ Film Festival, begins this weekend, September 21 – 24, featuring 91 films. The film festival, presented by the Palm Springs Cultural Center and sponsored by the City of Cathedral City, takes places at the Camelot Theatres, 2300 E. Baristo Road in Palm Springs.

Thanks to Cathedral City Mayor Stan Henry and Mayor Pro Tem Greg Pettis for dedicating a portion of their City’s Discretionary Funds, the film festival will have a second weekend event (September 29-30) called, “Best of the Fest” at the Mary Pickford Theatre, 36850 Pickfair Street, in Cathedral City. The “Best of the Fest” will show the films that stood out during the first weekend in Palm Springs.

Many of the best films show at the same time in different theater screens during the first weekend. Attendees who missed one of the great films at the Camelot Theater can see it for the first time at the Mary Pickford Theatre in Cathedral City the following weekend. VIP Passes are good for both weekends.
