Applications Open Now Through April 17, 2026
The City of Cathedral City is now accepting Community Assistance Grant Applications for Fiscal Year 2026/2027, with $70,000 available on a competitive basis to support local non-profit organizations and public service providers serving Cathedral City residents.
Program Description
Grant awards can range from $1,000 to $10,000. Programs will be reviewed and evaluated by City officials and City staff based on the priority needs of the community.
Please note: submission of a Community Assistance Grant Application is not a guarantee of funding. Grants are subject to City Council approval, and the City reserves the right to reject any or all applications, as well as make mid-year adjustments or re-establish funding priorities.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for funding, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization or a tribal or governmental agency
- Be based in Cathedral City OR demonstrate they provide services to Cathedral City residents or businesses
- Demonstrate they receive funding from other sources and are not solely relying on City support
- Preference will be given to applicants meeting the health and human service needs of underserved populations

Electronic applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. PDT on Friday, April 17, 2026. Hard copy applications must be postmarked by Monday, April 13, 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.
