Two free art walks every month — “Fourth Fridays at 4:00” and the “Second Saturday Showcase” — invite the community to meet artists, see where they work, and buy art directly
Visit The Perez Art District, the Coachella Valley’s largest creative hub. Home to more than 60 artists, galleries, and stores along Perez Road in Cathedral City, the district hosts two free art walks every month, plus special events throughout the season. Visitors will find work in every genre — painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and more.
The new season begins Friday, September 25, 2026, with the return of the district’s beloved evening art walk.
Fourth Fridays at 4:00 — The Evening Art Walk
“Fourth Fridays at 4:00” is a festive, not-to-be-missed evening art walk, free and open to the public. Running from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on the fourth Friday of each month, September through May, it offers a unique chance for the community to watch the growth of an artist’s work over time and buy art directly from the people who made it. It’s also the perfect way to start an evening out in Cathedral City — see some art, then head to dinner.

Second Saturday Showcase — The Daytime Art Walk
For the sunshine-loving crowd, the “Second Saturday Showcase” takes place on the second Saturday of each month from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Running October through May, this daytime event is also free and open to the public, and offers a unique chance to see art and catch artists while they’re at work in their studios — all while enjoying the desert sunshine and still being home before dark.

Getting Around the District
The Perez Art District is located at 68845 Perez Road, between Date Palm Drive and Cathedral Canyon Drive. Artists are mostly in buildings A, C, H, and I, while stores and galleries are mostly in the 68929 building. Parking is available in front of and behind each building.
Come meet the artists, see where they work, and take home something original.
