Cathedral City LGBT Days’ Pride Weekend Features the Infamous Bed Race, Ada Vox, and Former Pussycat Doll Jessica Sutta
On March 29th through Sunday, March 31, 2019, join us for California’s first Pride of the year at the 5th Annual Cathedral City LGBT Days in Downtown Cathedral City. Presented by CCBC Resort Hotel and the Runway Restaurant (Dining, Drinks & Drag), the weekend activities include the following:
Friday, March 29th – Kick-Off Block Party – 6 pm to 10 pm
Hosted by The Roost Lounge, AMP Sports Lounge and Trunks Cathedral City, this indoor / outdoor party features dance music by DJ Galaxy and musical performances by the legendary Keisha D’. The block party takes place inside the bars as well as the parking lot behind The Roost and AMP Sports Lounge at the Pickfair Promenade located near Trilussa Restaurant and the Mary Pickford Theatre.
Meet and Greet with Rocco Steele at the Runway – 9 pm
Power down your communication devices and buckle your seatbelts for a meet and greet with the legendary Rocco Steele at the Runway Restaurant and Bar.
Saturday, March 30th – Pride Party – 10 am to 5 pm – Downtown Cathedral City
Start your morning off right with a performance by Modern Men Chorus on the Main Stage in Downtown Cathedral City in front of City Hall at 10:15 am and pick your spot to watch the Cathedral City LGBT Days’ Bed Race which begins at 11:00 am. It’s our Pride Parade with a little drama and suspense as teams race for the fastest time, compete for best decorated, or show their pride for best spirited group. When it comes to Music on the Mainstage, LGBT Days will get your feet moving as famed former Pussycat Doll Jessica Sutta brings her signature sultry moves to the LGBT Days stage at 3:15 pm. American Idol star and fan favorite Ada Vox bellows out the ballads at 2:35 pm. Direct from Sydney, Australia pop sensation Emily Perry takes the stage at 2:00 pm to sing her new hits. FLAVA, club legend and international sensation brings his flashy costumes, high head pieces, and electric performance at 3:50 pm. Other artists performing include LA based dance-pop singer and songwriter Azra, The Gand Band, and Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, and emcees Bella da Ball and iHeartRadio/HERE TV's Alexander Rodriguez. Performance times are subject to change so arrive early and stay the whole afternoon! While you are there, check out all the amazing non-profit and resource booths.
If you rather soak up the sun around a pool, CCBC Resort Hotel brings its annual pool party on Saturday and Sunday featuring DJ music from noon to 4 pm.
On Saturday night, the Barracks Bar offers its own special leather events for Cathedral City LGBT Days.
Sunday, March 31st
The celebrations continue on Sunday with a Pool Party at CCBC Resort Hotel from noon to 4 pm, Beer Bust at the Barracks Bar starting at 2 pm, and the Millions of Moments of Pride Dance Party with DJ Paul at AMP Sports Lounge from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am.
