Boys and Girls Club of Cathedral City Hosts Resource and Wellness Fair for Families

This Saturday, May 2, 2026, the Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City (BGCCC) is welcoming the public to a free Resource and Wellness Fair for local residents interested in learning more about personal and family health care. The health professionals from Desert Care Network (DCN), in partnership with the Desert Regional Graduate Medical Education Program, will lead talks on important health topics and fun activities designed to make wellness information more accessible. This event is part of BGCCC’s commitment to improving Health & Well-Being for kids, teens, and families in the western Coachella Valley.

“Part of our mission is to help kids and families develop healthy lifestyles to set them up for future success,” says BGCCC CEO Scott Robinson. “We are grateful and excited to be partnering with Desert Care Network to increase accessibility to these important topics in our Club’s welcoming environment right in the heart of Cathedral City.”

This free event will also include complimentary health checks by physicians, and DCN staff will be on-site to assist attendees in making medical appointments with DCN providers. Light refreshments will be provided. The event takes place at 32141 Whispering Palms Trail, Cathedral City, 92234 on Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend may register online at DesertCareNetwork.com/events. Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City

Since 1980, the Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City (BGCCC) has served as a trusted and vital community resource for youth ages 6–18 from the greater Coachella Valley. For more than four decades, the Club has been committed to its mission: “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”

Over the past 45 years, BGCCC has evolved to meet the changing needs of children and families—offering safe, inclusive, and enriching environments that foster academic achievement, emotional well-being, and leadership development. Today, the Club serves more than 650 members annually and reaches an additional 1,850 youth through community outreach.

Desert Care Network

Desert Care Network serves as a trusted healthcare resource for the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin. It includes three hospitals: Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio and Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree.
