The 22nd annual Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic (MNCC) returns to Cathedral City’s Big League Dreams Sports Park, located at 33700 Date Palm Drive, Feb. 19-22, 2026. MNCC is the nation’s largest and most prestigious preseason college softball tournament, featuring 29 elite Division I NCAA softball programs and Team Japan across 76 games over four days.
Cathedral City Mayor Raymond Gregory will throw out the ceremonial first pitch to kick off the tournament, joined by Mayor Pro Tem Ernesto Gutierrez, Councilmember Rita Lamb, Councilmember Nancy Ross, Councilmember Christina Gordon, and new City Manager Andy Firestine.

This year’s tournament features nine Preseason Top 25 teams and five programs that reached the 2025 Women’s College World Series, including Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Oregon, and UCLA. Fans will see All-American athletes like Jordy Frahm, Ella Parker, Jordan Woolery, Kasidi Pickering, and more.
Key matchups/schedule notes:
- Oklahoma returns after a one-year hiatus, facing Duke, Nevada, Bethune-Cookman, Hawaii, and Long Beach State. The Sooners take on Duke on Friday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m. PT on Wrigley Field.
- Oregon opens the tournament against Texas A&M on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 12:30 p.m. PT, and faces Auburn the following day at 10 a.m. PT.
- Nebraska, led by All-American Jordy Frahm, faces South Carolina on Friday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m. PT.
- UCLA takes on South Carolina on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 5:30 p.m. PT, and Texas A&M on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 11:30 a.m. PT.
- Texas Tech, the 2025 WCWS runner-up, plays Bethune-Cookman, Fresno State, Team Japan, CSU Fullerton, San Diego State, and UC Riverside.
