Taste of Jalisco Festival Enjoys Record Crowd

From Friday, February 11 through Sunday, February 13, 2022, Cathedral City residents and visitors from near and far came to Downtown Cathedral City to enjoy the 6th Annual Taste of Jalisco Festival.  The event is a celebration of the Sister City relationship between the cities of Cathedral City, California (USA) and Tequila, Jalisco (Mexico).

It was the first time that the event was held over multiple days and produced by SoundSkilz, a production company from Temecula, California.  The festival offered carnival rides, LIVE Entertainment on two stages, food trucks and authentic Mexican cuisine, Tequila tastings, artisan craft vendors, car show, and a gala performance of “Mexico Lindo” by Ballet Folklorico de Los Angeles (BFLA) and Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuéllar.

Thanks to an exciting array of activities and entertainment along with major sponsors such as Agua Caliente Casino – Cathedral City; Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP, and the City of Cathedral City, the festival garnered a record crowd, estimated between 12,000 – 15,000 guests over the three days.
