Two New Murals Unveiled at the Día de los Muertos Block Party on Chuperosa Lane

The Agnes Pelton Society and S.C.R.A.P. Gallery hosted a block party on Chuperosa Lane between D and F Streets on Tuesday to unveil two new art murals.  The S.C.R.A.P. Gallery offered a glazed tile mural of a hummingbird and the Agnes Pelton Society commissioned “Los Mayores de Cathedral City” – the Elders of Cathedral City Cove art mural.  The event was in honor of Día de los Muertos and celebrated with Mexican Ballet Folklorico dancers.

Councilmember Rita Lamb, who represents the Cove Neighborhood, was in attendance and the Office of Congressman Raul Ruiz presented a Congressional Certification of Recognition for this wonderful art addition in honor of the Cove’s history.

The murals are located on Chuperosa Lane (alley) between E Street and F Street.  Go see these two new art murals along with numerous murals completed in previous years.
